# Bookio

> Connect your Bookio booking system so customers' upcoming appointments show on their loyalty card.

**Bookio** is a reservation and booking system. This integration shows a customer's **upcoming appointment on their loyalty card**.

## What it does

When a customer has a reservation in Bookio, their loyalty card in Apple or Google Wallet shows the **next appointment**, for example `14:30 • 15.4.2026`. It stays up to date on its own.

## Requirements

| Requirement | Detail |
| - | - |
| Bookio account | An active Bookio booking account |
| Bookio Business ID | Your Bookio establishment's ID (a whole number), obtained from Bookio support |
| VEXiON cards account | An active VEXiON cards account |

## Getting your Bookio Business ID

The Bookio Business ID identifies your establishment in Bookio. **Contact Bookio support** and ask for the **Business ID** of your establishment. They will send you a number (the Business ID).

## Connecting

**1. Open the Bookio settings**

In VEXiON cards, go to **Settings → Integrations** and expand **Bookio**.

**2. Enter your Bookio Business ID**

Paste the **Bookio Business ID** you got from Bookio support into the field.

**3. Choose your options**

Leave the options on (they are on by default) or adjust them, then click **Save Settings**. The integration is now active.

## The settings

| Setting | Default | What it does |
| - | :-: | - |
| Synchronize customers between VEXiON and Bookio | ✅ On | At the moment this option has no effect. Customers are matched by email and created in Bookio through the next option. |
| Auto-create customers in Bookio | ✅ On | When a customer registers for a loyalty card, they are created in Bookio if they are not there yet |
| Show booking information on loyalty cards | ✅ On | At the moment this option has no effect. The next appointment shows on the card whenever the customer has one in Bookio. |

## How it works

* A customer scans your QR code and registers for a loyalty card. VEXiON cards checks whether they already exist in Bookio.
* If they do not exist in Bookio, they are created automatically (when **Auto-create customers** is on).
* When the customer books an appointment in Bookio, their loyalty card updates automatically.
* The appointment shows on the card as, for example, `14:30 • 15.4.2026`.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Customers are matched between the two systems by their **email address**, the same email is treated as the same person.
