# Coupon cards on the scanner

> Redeem a single-use coupon in one tap.

A [coupon](https://vexioncards.mintlify.site/knowledge-base/coupon-card.md) is the simplest card at the till: a single-use voucher with one button.

**Left panel:** the coupon **status** (**Active** or **Redeemed**), shown as a coloured tile on phones and as the top row on desktop, so staff can tell at a glance whether it can still be used. With it: **Last visit** and **Member since**. Desktop and landscape tablets also show a card preview.

When you scan an unused coupon, the right panel shows the **reward** it grants (for example "Free coffee") with a big **Redeem** button underneath.

## Redeem

Tap **Redeem**. The coupon is marked used and cannot be redeemed again.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Redeeming a coupon is final, there is no undo. A coupon can only be used once.

If someone scans a coupon that has **already been used**, the status reads **Redeemed** and the right panel shows a confirmation with no button, so staff can see it has been claimed.
