# Shopify: connecting your store

> Connect your Shopify store to VEXiON cards from Settings, and manage the connection.

You connect Shopify from inside VEXiON cards, in **Settings → Integrations**. Connecting authorizes VEXiON cards to read your orders and customers and to apply loyalty discounts at checkout.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The **Integrations** tab is available to **admins**, so connecting your store and changing these settings is done by an admin.

## Connect your store

**1. Open the Shopify integration**

Go to **Settings → Integrations** and open **Shopify** (the "Sync with your Shopify online store" panel). The Shopify tile is shown to accounts where Shopify is enabled.

**2. Start the connection**

Click **Install from the Shopify App Store**. The VEXiON cards listing opens in a new tab.

**3. Install and authorize on Shopify**

Install the app on your store. Review and approve the access VEXiON cards asks for (your orders, customers, products, and the ability to apply discounts). If you are new, Shopify asks you to choose a plan. If you already use VEXiON cards, sign in to your existing account to link the store.

**4. Back in VEXiON cards**

You are returned to VEXiON cards and the store is linked. The panel now shows your store with a green **Configured** status. The connection is live.

## The connected panel

When your store is connected, the panel opens to your store's address (for example `your-store.myshopify.com`) with a green dot next to it. From here you can:

* **Refresh** the connection with the circular-arrows icon, to re-check that everything is healthy.
* Open the **menu** (the three-dots icon) for connection actions:

| Action | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Reinstall app** | Runs the same round trip to Shopify again, if you ever need to refresh access |
| **Sync customers from Shopify** | A tick box, saved with **Save settings**. When it is on, changes to a Shopify customer (Shopify ID, missing name, language) are copied onto members who already have a card with the same email. It does not import customers or create new ones. |
| **Disconnect** | Stops the integration (see below) |

The connection menu

## Re-syncing your customers

Saving the settings already starts a re-sync of all customers in the background. At the bottom of the settings there is also a **Bulk re-sync customers** button. It asks you to confirm, then sends the loyalty data of every linked customer to Shopify again. Use it only when you want to force a refresh. It runs in the background.

## Disconnecting

To stop the integration, open the menu and click **Disconnect**, then confirm. This ends the sync between VEXiON cards and your Shopify store. It also removes the access VEXiON cards had to your store and the automatic tier discounts VEXiON cards created in it.

* Your loyalty cards and customer balances **stay in VEXiON cards**, nothing is deleted.
* New Shopify orders **stop earning and redeeming** loyalty until you reconnect.

To reconnect, install the app again from the Shopify App Store, using the same panel.
