Automatic messages

Every message VEXiON cards sends to a customer on its own after a scan, a redemption, or a reversal, by card type.

Separately from the notifications you send, VEXiON cards sends a short message on its own after most scans, so the customer always knows what just happened. You never write these, each one is automatic, chosen for the action and card type, and translated into the customer’s language. They appear on the phone’s lock screen (Apple Wallet) and update the pass at the same time.

These messages appear only if the customer has notifications enabled for Wallet on their phone. The pass itself always updates regardless. On the numeric card types the message is tied to the value on the front of the pass, so the phone highlights the number as it changes.

The reward name is shown only when it is short. Otherwise the message says “Reward”.

The customer sees the balance in euros. The points stay on the back of the pass and in the customer’s profile.

When a transaction is reversed

Reversing a transaction (undoing a scan or cancelling a bill) sends a message of its own, tailored to the card type and carrying the customer’s new balance. On the numeric card types it is tied to the value on the front of the pass, so the phone highlights the number as it changes back.

The pass background (including a tiered card’s per-level image) always follows the reversed state too, so a card that dropped a tier shows that tier’s colours and image again.

Not every message applies to every card. VEXiON cards picks the right one for each action and card type on its own.
