Cards are created and edited on desktop. The wizard needs a larger screen, so open it on a computer. As you build the card, the panel on the right shows a live preview of what your customer will see (toggle Apple / Google and Front / Details). Click a row in the preview to go to its setting, see Live preview.
How to start
Click Create Card on the Passes page. You land on Choose Your Card Type. Pick a type and click Continue. The wizard at a glance
After you pick a card type, the wizard walks through these steps:- Settings the rules of the card (this is different for each card type). This is also where you turn on the optional card options.
- Design how the card background and, for stamp cards, the stamps look.
- Card Appearance your logo, notification icon, and colours.
- Sign-up Form what customers fill in to get the card (gift and employee cards skip this). See The sign-up form.
- Card Information your company name, business links, the review link, the terms shown on the back of the card, and a link to your own loyalty programme rules that customers see when they sign up.
- Review & Create check everything, then either activate the card or save it as a draft. See Activate or save as a draft.
Activate or save as a draft
The last step of the wizard gives you two buttons:- Create & Activate: the card goes live immediately. You can share it and customers can join straight away.
- Save as Draft: the card is saved but not live. Its sign-up link shows a “This card is not available” message until you activate it, which is handy while you are still finishing the design or waiting for a launch date.
Optional card options
On top of the core rules, most cards can turn on a few optional extras in the Settings step (the review link is in the Card Information step). Each has its own short guide:- Starting bonus: give new customers points or stamps the moment they join.
- Refer a friend: reward customers for bringing in new ones.
- Card issuance limit: cap how many of the card can be issued.
- Review link: invite customers to review you after their first visit, pointing at the store they actually joined at.
You can change a card’s design at any time after creating it, and the update applies to existing cardholders and new ones, so passes already in customers’ wallets refresh automatically.
