Joining
A shopper can join right where they shop: in the floating launcher panel, in the loyalty page block, and in the cart block. What they see depends on whether they are signed in.A signed-in shopper
A shopper who is signed in and has no loyalty card sees:You are not a member yet. Joining is free. Earn 1% cashback on every orderUnder it is a Join {store name} button. The second line is your program’s own value line, so it changes with your setup. When the shopper presses the button, their loyalty card is created at once. No order is needed. The panel then switches to their card, with their points balance and the ways to earn. It shows:
Welcome! Your loyalty card is ready. We also sent it to your email.Below it is a link, Add the card to your phone wallet. The card email is sent to the shopper too.
A shopper who is not signed in
A shopper who is not signed in sees the value line, a Join {store name} button, and Already a member? Sign in.- Join opens your store’s Shopify sign-up.
- Sign in is for shoppers who already have an account.
Other ways to join
- On first purchase. With Auto-enrol on first purchase on, a new customer with an email who did not tick the box is also enrolled and gets their card and welcome email as soon as their first order is paid.
- As a guest. With Allow guests at checkout on, someone who checks out without signing in can still tick the box, earn points, and receive their card by email. To redeem later, they sign in. With it off, the box is hidden and only signed-in shoppers can join.
A customer who ticks “Sign me up for the loyalty program when I place this order” is enrolled when the order is paid, as long as the order has an email address. If Auto-enrol on first purchase is off and they do not tick the box, the order is a normal purchase and no card is created. See Configuring loyalty.
Good to know
- The Join button does not need Auto-enrol on first purchase. A signed-in shopper can always join with the button.
- The Shopify theme editor shows the signed-out view. The editor previews your store without a signed-in customer, so you do not see the Join button for signed-in shoppers there.

Seeing what they will earn
On a product page, a small badge shows the reward for buying, for example “Earn 12 points (~0.12 back).” It helps shoppers see the value before they add to cart. The badge appears only in stores with Cashback rewards turned on, after you add the Product earn badge block in the Shopify theme editor (see Configuring loyalty).Earning points
When a member’s order is paid, VEXiON cards adds the points automatically. The points land on the customer’s loyalty card and the new balance appears in their Apple or Google Wallet. Nothing is scanned.Earning faster with tiers
If your cashback card has levels, customers earn at a rate that goes up as they climb levels. A higher-tier member earns more points for the same spend than a new member. Shoppers see this on the storefront, for example “Earn up to 30 points (3x as Gold)” or, for someone not yet a member, “Get up to 5% cashback as a Gold member.” The floating launcher shows a member their current tier and a progress bar toward the next one, so they can see how close they are to earning even faster. Once they reach the top tier, it simply thanks them for getting there.A member's tier and progress in the launcher
Redeeming in the cart
Redeeming happens in the cart, before checkout, in the in-cart loyalty panel. What a member sees depends on which mechanics you turned on:- Cashback rewards: a slider to choose how many points to spend, with a live preview of the money off.
- Tier discount: their tier’s discount, with a progress bar toward the next tier. It is applied automatically when Tier discount is the only mechanic turned on. When several mechanics are on, the customer chooses one benefit in the cart.
- Gift card balance: a field to apply some or all of their gift-card balance.
One benefit per order. A customer either earns points or redeems one benefit on a given order, not both.
If a customer has more than one eligible card, the panel lets them pick which one to use.
At checkout
The applied benefit shows as a discount line on the order, named after the benefit, for exampleVEXiON loyalty (-€5.00), VEXiON tier discount (-10%), or VEXiON gift card (-€10.00). When Tier discount is the only mechanic turned on, the line shows the tier name as written on the card, for example Gold. The customer pays the reduced total as usual.
