This is the overview. The other Storyous guides cover connecting and setup, menu and products, card types and point setup, and working at the till.
What the Storyous integration is
It links your VEXiON loyalty program to your Storyous POS. The key difference from other POS integrations: with Storyous you set your loyalty points inside VEXiON, on a product list that is synced from Storyous. You do not edit anything in the Storyous admin.- Simple connection: click Aktivovat in the Storyous Marketplace, no passwords or keys to manage.
- Menu sync: your products (names, prices, categories) are pulled from Storyous into VEXiON.
- Points set in VEXiON: you decide which products earn or redeem points, in VEXiON’s product table.
- Multiple locations: connect several Storyous places under one loyalty program.
- Cashier control: at the till, staff can turn each benefit on or off per sale.
How it works
The customer’s card is scanned at the end of the sale, in the Storyous “Pay all” dialog. Storyous sends the basket to VEXiON, VEXiON works out what the customer earns or can use, and the cashier confirms which benefits to apply.Step by step
- The card is scanned at “Pay all”. Storyous shows a Customer benefits dialog.
- Storyous sends VEXiON the customer and the basket. VEXiON works out how many stamps or points are earned, whether a reward is available, the discount tier, and any gift-card balance.
- The cashier chooses. Each benefit has a toggle, so staff can apply or skip it.
- The customer pays and the transaction closes.
- VEXiON updates the card in the wallet, and the customer gets a notification.
Collect or redeem, not both. In a single transaction a customer either earns stamps/points or redeems a reward, never both. If staff turn a reward off, VEXiON automatically switches to collecting. If they turn collecting off too, the transaction is not counted toward the loyalty program (nothing is earned or lost).
Supported card types
Two variants are also supported: tiered reward cards (loyal customers earn points faster) and employee cards (a staff discount for the month, with an optional monthly limit). See Card types and point setup.
Usually one benefit per sale. Most customers hold one card, so most sales use one benefit. A business runs either stamp cards or reward cards, not both at once. If a customer holds more than one card (for example a discount card and a stamp card), their benefits can appear together in the same dialog.
Requirements
Storyous is a POS integration and is part of VEXiON cards PRO. See Plans and pricing.
