Gift cards have the richest analytics, because they hold real money. These panels appear on the Analytics tab of a Gift Card, alongside the shared elements. If you have more than one location, these panels also respect the location selector in the sidebar (see Filtering by Location & Time).
The Analytics tab of a gift card: summary tiles for Registered Customers, Active Customers, Total Revenue, and Total Transactions, then a Gift Card Overview panel (Money In, Balance Breakdown, and Key Rates) next to a Gift Card Journey funnel from Purchased to Installed to First Use to Fully used.

Gift Card Overview

The key financial picture: Money In (Total Sold, Total Bonus, Bonus Rate), Balance Breakdown (Already Spent, Not Installed, Active Balance), and Key Rates (Redemption Rate, Activation Rate). The Active Balance is the balance on installed cards that customers can still spend, counted over all time. Not Installed is the balance on cards sold in the selected period that have not been added to a wallet yet. The two are counted separately. Under the panel, a note tells you how much you have “in outstanding liability - value that customers can still spend”. The amount is the Active Balance. The Not Installed balance is not part of that amount.

Gift Card Journey

The full lifecycle from purchase to complete redemption: Purchased, Installed, First Use, Fully Used, with the activation and completion rates. When some cards were purchased but not yet installed, a Business Insight note says that this is “money you’ve collected with zero liability”. Those cards still hold their balance, and the recipient can spend it once they add the card to a wallet. Whether and how you book that balance is a question for your accountant.

Time Analytics

Timing of gift-card usage: Average Days to First Use and to Full Use, Average Card Lifespan, Redemptions Per Card, Average Days Between Uses, and Cards Used in Period.

Expiration Tracking

Cards approaching expiry, grouped by 7, 30, 60, and 90 days and Already Expired, with the value at risk in each bucket.

Purchase Behavior

How gift cards are bought: Most Popular Amount, Repeat Purchasers, Gift vs Self Purchases, a purchase trend, amount distribution, unique purchasers, and SMS / Email delivery counts.
  • Program Health Score rates the program (Active, Dormant, At-Risk, and Churned cards).
  • Balance Trends shows value Issued, Top-ups, and Redeemed over time, the utilisation rate, and average balance.
  • Business ROI covers Breakage Revenue, Bonus Cost, Net Benefit, Average Spend Per Card, Redemption and Breakage rates, and your Current Debt. Current Debt is the total balance owed to customers on all cards, including cards not yet installed, over all time and not filtered by period.

Sold vs redeemed

A chart of the gift card money per month: Sold and Redeemed side by side, with your current Outstanding balance as a dashed line. Sold is the money you received for new gift cards and kept, the same rule as the Sold figure on the card page. The chart covers all history and follows the location selector in the sidebar. With no sales yet, it says “No gift card sales yet”.

Reports and physical cards

Gift-card analytics use Request report instead of instant export: choose Excel, CSV, or PDF, and it is emailed to you when ready. Request report is part of VEXiON PRO. A list of recent reports with download links appears at the bottom. The Excel summary and the PDF have a Sales block with six separate lines: Sold (new vouchers, money received and kept), Top-ups, Bonus, Redeemed, Locked (dispute or refund), and Outstanding. Sold is the same number as the Sold figure on the card page, so top-ups and bonuses are never inside it. The per-location table has a Locked column too. The report labels are in English. A separate Physical Gift Cards view covers pre-printed physical card batches. For online sales, you also receive an automatic monthly statement email on the 1st of the following month. When the month’s Stripe payouts could be matched, it has the month’s summary, the commission invoice PDF and a per-sale CSV your accountant can match to bank payouts. When they could not be matched, it is a shorter email with the commission invoice PDF and no CSV. See Stripe Connect, Your monthly documents.
